New Year, New Morning, New Day
Tracy Keenan preaching

Dear Covenant friends and family,
How powerful is hope? It’s crazy powerful! The ancient Israelites returning from exile in Babylon met up with the folks they had left two generations earlier and who had muddled through without them. Not quite the homeland they had remembered or heard about. And the folks who had stayed were none too eager to hear their plans for restoration. A divided people polarized? Anger and frustration?
Sounds familiar. Come and see what Isaiah’s prophecy from chapter 60, verses 1-6 did for them and can do for us!
Peace and Grace,

ANGST. Do you suffer from anxiety? Does your child? Partner? Learn how to cope and find hope. One could make the case that anxiety is the most prevalent 21st Century disease afflicting the United States – certainly it is doing its best to cripple our youth. As people of God and the body of Christ, we have important insights and practices within our theology and tradition that can help us manage the anxiety that affect us and our children. It is time to reclaim this knowledge and to begin to share it. It is time to come to the defense of our children. Join us for this important film and discussion...a film about anxiety, truth, coping and hope. Candid interviews with real teens about anxiety. Click here for more information. 2019 Per Capita is $35.75 Per Member
Each member of Covenant is also a member of the larger church, the Presbyterian Church USA. As such, it is part of our responsibility to support the work of the administrative bodies of the national church – the General Assembly, the Synod, and the Presbytery. We do this by making a per capita payment each January. The per capita for 2019 is $35.75 per member, for a total payment due of $21,093. This figure is based upon our church membership roll as of Dec. 31, 2017. We invite you to pay your share of the per capita so that this money does not need to come from this year’s budget. Your contribution will free up funds for other vital church programs that meet the spiritual needs of our congregation. Envelopes are on the welcome table. Click here to securely give online.
New Picture Directories
For church members who have a photo in our new directory, please pick up your copy in the hall this Sunday. Look for the label with your name and start meeting and learning about your church family. Soon, you’ll receive info on how to access this directory on the new app on your phone.
Considering buying a labyrinth brick for the entrance to our neighborhood prayerful wandering space? The labyrinth is a walking meditation where we can step out of the busyness of life to be still and focus on what we find within. Please consider purchasing a paver brick with your etched message for $100 or a plain brick for $80. Order forms and sample bricks are in the hall or click here to submit a form and pay with PayPal on our website.
Now you can receive your quarterly statement of giving by email
