Coverage Changes for COVID-19

The Public Health Emergency for COVID-19 ends on May 11, 2023. 

For QualChoice members:

• Beginning July 1, 2023, COVID-19 home test kits will no longer be covered by your benefit plan. 
• The treatment of COVID-19 is covered, and member cost sharing will apply. Please refer to your Plan Documents for network and cost sharing details.

Medicare Coverage Changes for COVID-19

After May 11, 2023:

• Medicare will continue to cover vaccines without cost sharing.
• You might have cost sharing for COVID-19 diagnostic tests.
• Medicare won’t cover over-the-counter (OTC) tests.
• Telehealth services will continue through December 31, 2024.

Mental Health Awareness Month was established in 1949. It serves to increase awareness of the vital role mental health and wellness plays in our overall health and to celebrate recovery from mental illness.

Mental Health and Substance Abuse services are also available by phone or video. QualChoice Telehealth gives you access to in-network healthcare providers 24 hours a day. Use it right when you need it — or schedule an appointment ahead of time.
