Vermont Creative Sector
A Resource Guide for Covid-19 Reopening and Recovery
While we are still a long way from any return to normal, the Vermont Arts Council and the Vermont Creative Network wanted to provide a central resource for Vermont arts and cultural organizations for a responsible and safe reopening while the Covid-19 pandemic persists.

Guided by principles of placing health and safety first and a dynamic approach that responds to changing conditions, these guidelines are designed to aid organizations as they navigate questions around reopening in accordance with the guidelines of both the state and federal government.

Included are sections on employee and volunteer health and safety; patron health and safety; patron education; and specific sector guidance for performing arts and event spaces, museums, fairs and festivals, and arts educators.

"Our 'positive propaganda' is meant to foster a sense of hopefulness in times of uncertainty. This isn't blind optimism; we want people to feel less alone and to recognize that we will come out on the other side of these immense challenges. The future is still bright."
The guidelines were compiled by the Vermont Arts Council, the Vermont Creative Network and the Vermont Creative Sector Response and Recovery Team. They are synthesized from the State of Vermont restart guidelines; other states’ creative sector guidelines; and arts and culture professional and industry associations.
