Dear Residents, Families and Staff,
As of today we are happy to report we have no active COVID cases at Madrona House. Monday we sampled and submitted COVID tests for all Madrona House staff and residents and found no new positive cases of COVID.
We will test Madrona House residents and staff again this coming Thursday and all Wyatt House and Madison House staff and residents today. Madrona House will stay on our active COVID protocol until testing results show 14 days with no new positive cases. We continue to carefully monitor all residents for any sign of COVID.
Last Friday all residents who received their first dose of vaccine on January 9th, received their second dose of vaccine. We have a small group of residents who received their first dose on January 15th, they will be receiving their second dose this coming Friday, February 12th.
Please note that Kitsap County remains at “high risk” for COVID transmission. While we know there are better days ahead, it is essential that we continue to follow the governor’s mandates to further slow the transmission of COVID. Current statistics show that 10.5% of Kitsap County residents have received one dose of vaccine and only 2.4% are fully vaccinated. Kitsap Country remains in Phase 1 of the Roadmap to Recovery.
