Dear MCAR Member,

Please see the following message and resources from C.A.R.

During a crisis, having up-to-the-minute information and resources available is critical to answer the many questions that will inevitably arise. C.A.R. understands this and wants to be your essential partner in helping you navigate the challenges associated with getting you the financial relief you need during these trying times. With this in mind, C.A.R. has launched the COVID Relief Hotline, a one-stop resource offering one-to-one assistance with respect to applying for the various relief mechanisms that are in place at the state and federal levels.

On Friday, President Trump signed the CARES (Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security) Act into law. The CARES Act provides financial assistance in the form of Small Business Administration forgivable loans, Pandemic Unemployment Assistance payments, rebate checks, and payroll tax credits for employers who continue to pay employees while either fully or partially suspending operations due to the coronavirus.

You can contact C.A.R.’s COVID Relief Hotline by calling (213) 351-8450, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.

C.A.R. also has many other resources available on our  COVID website , and we urge you to frequently check this site as it is constantly updated.

We hope you take advantage of this new free service, and we look forward to helping you in the months ahead as we work toward regaining strength in our personal lives, in our communities, and in our industry.

As always, MCAR's COVID-19 Information and Resources page has all of this information saved for your reference.

Thank you,

Kevin

  • Should I charge late fees?
  • If my tenant is not paying rent, do I need to perform repairs?
  • How do I handle a building with multiple tenant units?
  • What if my tenant has contracted COVID-19?
