Call to Action: Monday and Tuesday!
****ACTION ITEMS BELOW****

On Friday, House Bill 60 finally made it's way to the House Floor, only to be circled (put on hold) by 38 legislators, immediately prior to discussion on the bill. The substitute process should have taken 30 minutes. Apparently, in this case, it needed four days, for unknown reasons.

On Saturday, February 19, Utah's governor announced an end to COVID testing sites and COVID case counts, telling businesses they should no longer require masks or vaccinations. This was in concert with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Brigham Young University, and Vivint Arena lifting vaccine passport and testing requirements, this week.

All these announcements come the weekend before the Utah State House is, once again, scheduled to vote on the Vaccine Passport Ban, HB60.

Is all of this coincidence? I do not think so. Just more games being played this session by the governor and House leadership.

Don't fall for the deception. Instead...

Monday, please email your state house representative with the following message:

Subject Line: YES on HB60 S2! No new subs or amendments!

Body:
"I am your constituent. Please vote YES on HB60 S2, with no additional amendments. Keep businesses open. Keep medical information private."

Find your state house rep here (no senators right now, please): https://le.utah.gov/GIS/findDistrict.jsp

Tuesday, at 1:30 PM, please come to the State Capitol, House Chambers (4th floor).

  • Bring friends and family.
  • Arrive early to park. Enter the Capitol on the east side.
  • Get a sticker in support of the HB60.
  • If the chamber is full, please stand respectfully in the House chamber area (3rd floor), wearing your sticker, until we get a vote on the bill. You may watch on your phones in the halls.

Let's have a large crowd of wonderful people inside the Capitol building, when HB60 is uncircled for a vote!

Let's remember to follow rules of decorum! No speaking in the gallery. Always remain seated. No food or drink. No signs.

Outside of the gallery speaking, signs, and food are okay. Please always be respectful and kind. Thank you!

________________

This bill does not create a protected class. It protects medical privacy. Just as the Bill of Rights lists our protected freedoms.

This bill helps businesses by protecting them from being forced, incentivized, or coerced into becoming the enforcement mechanism for health department overreach.

If we don't pass this bill now, we will be right back where we started when the next "wave" or "pandemic" hits. Let's help our legislators see how important this issue is.

Thank you!

Only 10 days left of the session! See you Tuesday!
I love you all! Let's do this!
