Thank you so much for your feedback! We learned a lot from your comments. We hope to implement many of your suggestions in the coming months.

Many mentioned that you wished that the Alumni Awards could go back to being an evening event. We could not agree more! Plans for this change were already in the works. This year's Alumni Banquet will be held on Wednesday, May 29th at 6:30. See below for more details.

We also agree with you that we have not provided enough networking or social opportunities. Starting on April, we will have monthly gatherings. Watch for upcoming events in our monthly newsletter and on Facebook. On April 3rd, we will be having an alumni coffee at the Bean Haus in Covington. Join us to hear all the latest news of what is happening at CLS plus meet or get reacquainted with alumni from around the area. We ask that you please let us know if you can make it by contacting the Advancement Office.

And finally, back by popular demand, we will be re instituting our Alumni Association. We are looking for people to serve in various capacities. If you would like to help us in this endeavor, please contact the Advancement Office. Our plan is to have the Alumni Association back in action this summer.


These are just some of the things we will be implementing based on your feedback. We always are looking for better ways to serve you. Please contact the Advancement Office with any ideas you have so that we can better serve our CLS community.

Alumni Awards Class of 2019

We are so proud to announce the Class of 2019 Alumni Awardees:

Distinguished Alumni Award: Dr. Ronald Lubbe '55

Distinquished Young Alumni Award: Meghan Waters '10

Bonitatem Award: Gary Cummins '66

Disciplinam Award: Dr. Donald Saelinger '63

Scientiam Award: Jeff Von Handorf '74

Honorary Alumni Award: John Lane

Please join us in celebrating our awardees on Wednesday, May 29th at 6:30 PM for heavy appetizers and awards. Registration for this event can be made here.
The cost of the event is $25/person. Children under 12 are free. Golden Grads or anyone over the age of 65 is $15.

There will also be special recognition of the 25th anniversary of our first female to graduate from CLS. We invite all alumnae to attend the Alumni Banquet. A special gift will be given to all alumnae in attendance.
Matching Gift Opportunity
Matching Gift Update- 100 Days Left!

If you have had the opportunity to visit our building in the past few years, you have seen what an amazing facility our students call their home away from home. CLS students now have the opportunity to learn in the state-of-the-art Eva Farris STEM Wing. Our students can enjoy performances and lectures, play ping pong, and enjoy each other's company in the Kohlhepp Family Forum and Commons. If you have yet to see our expansion, please contact us. We would love to have you visit the campus and see how your generous donations provide a second home to our students.

As announced in our Fall Leader, we have a benefactor who has generously offered a matching gift up to $500,000 towards our debt retirement. As of this writing, we are over half of the way there!

We would like to thank all those who have already donated to our Annual Appeal. Your generosity allows for Covington Latin School to continue to provide an unparalleled education to bright and talented students in the area. We humbly ask you to consider this giving opportunity.

Grand Event
Join us at the Grand Event
Covington Latin's largest fundraising event will be held on April 13th starting at 6:30 PM at Covington Latin School. Dinner by the bite by Otto's Bistro, auctions, and dancing will make for a great evening. If you cannot attend but would still like to participate, you can visit our online bidding platform to join in on the fun. All proceeds will benefit our new technology lab.

Plans are already underway for the classes of 1959, 1969, 1974, 1984, 1994. If this is a reunion year for your class, please contact us to discuss your reunion needs.
