I have lived my life at the edges: the edge of the continent, the edge of the ocean, the edge of the marsh, at the edges of the days, sometimes at the edge of despair. This beautiful place has always been my source of peace, comfort, and inspiration.
Painting outdoors "en plein air" is a favorite pursuit. There is nothing like being out in nature, responding to the light, beauty and life that surrounds us. The magnificence that is out there, filtered through the soul of the artist onto a little piece of canvas , somehow magnifies the artist and also the one who views the paintings. That's the way it feels to me.
I offer these images in the hope that those who see them will also be inspired and touched in some loving way.
