We've Been Busy In the Community

The Be Early NC Community Fair

Earlier this month, Smart Start of Forsyth County participated in the community fair at Bolton Park, presented and organized by Be Early NC, an initiative of NCEI.

The North Carolina Early Intervention Section (NCEI) is a part of the N.C. Division of Child and Family Well-Being. It is the lead agency for the N.C. Infant-Toddler Program (ITP). The Infant-Toddler Program provides supports and services for families and their children, birth to three who have special needs.

R.O.O.T.S Bully Prevention Event

October is National Bully Prevention Month, and our R.O.O.T.S (Reversing Outcomes Of Traumatic Situations) Program hosted a community event, in collaboration with Best-selling Author, Cory A. Graves and the SFC (Strong, Focused and Confident) organization.

In Cory's children's book, The Bully & The Bullied, both the bully and bullied have an opportunity to express themselves from their different points of view.

This book is sure to spark conversations from both the “bully and the bullied” that we might put an end to bullying altogether.

Trail of Treats at Bolton Park

The City of W-S hosted "Trail of Treats" a family-friendly event this past Saturday, October 22, at Bolton Park. Smart Start of Forsyth County was a sponsor, and we had a table set up to give out free Dolly Parton Imagination Library book and, CANDY, of course!

This was a fun way to celebrate Halloween and featured  a "Hocus Pocus" movie screening at 7pm.
