The 2024 Downtown Akron Lunar New Year Celebration Is February 18

On February 18, Downtown Akron Partnership will present the 2024 Downtown Akron Lunar New Year Celebration. We're excited to showcase professional and student performers including Kwan Family Lion Dance, the Ka'Ren Cultural Dance Academy, the Cleveland Glory Waist Drum Team, Stella Acrobatic Dance Academy, learners from NIHF STEM Middle School, and others.

We'll also have food from downtown restaurants, vendors and community resources, giveaways, and a dazzling display of fireworks after the event.

Information on tickets and more is coming soon.

Shop Local in 2024 with Downtown Akron Dollars

This year, make the effort to shop local, and consider purchasing a Downtown Akron Dollars E-Gift Card for friends and family, to encourage them to shop local, too. The things we love about this new e-gift card program: There's no plastic gift card to lose (it lives on your phone--although you can print it out if needed); they're easy to give and receive, and you can use them at 23 (and counting) downtown locations.
