We send a special thank you to everyone who worked so hard on Giving Tuesday!

We are very grateful to all those in the Water With Blessings Community for Mission who helped spread the word on Giving Tuesday. We are very close to the $10,000 match, which will help underwrite the training, bucket, and Sawyer PointONE Filter for more than 250 new Water Women. Thank you!

Because we are so close, we ask once again that if you know of someone who might want to join in our life-transforming work, please pass this newsletter along to them. May God bless you (and them) for your generosity!
As We Move Through The Weeks Leading Up To Christmas, What Better Way To Prepare Than Pondering The Cradles of Christ

By Tammy Donelson
How Do We Prepare for Christmas?

When I was growing up one of my favorite Christmas traditions was setting up the manger. It had its place of prominence under our Christmas tree each year to honor Christ’s birth. When I got old enough to handle the plaster figurines, I was allowed to place them in the creche. I loved going to my Grandma’s house because her manger scene included a little village with big rocks covered with moss to create the rolling hills of Bethlehem. I imagined the scene of a faraway land with visitors coming from faraway countries.

This year those nativities and 300 more will be on display at the Cradles of Christ Nativity Display at Celebration Hall on Main Street in Middletown on Friday, December 10, 4:00 - 8:00 pm and Saturday, December 11, 10:00 - 4:00 pm. This is a fundraiser for Water With Blessings and YOU ARE INVITED to share your nativities and attend the event!

All of the nativities are personally owned and loaned by individuals who want to share their joy of the season and the traditions that make it meaningful. Many of the nativities were made in the countries Water With Blessings serves around the world. Visitors will be able to see unusual and beautifully displayed manger scenes along with their stories. Nativity readings will be performed by children along with live music from area churches and local musicians. An online Silent Night Auction with over 50 gift ideas includes gift cards from popular restaurants and stores, gym memberships, decorated trees and wreaths, bed & breakfast stays and more. Tickets are $5 per person or $20 per family with all proceeds benefiting Water with Blessings. Donations can also be made to https://app.mobilecause.com/vf/Cradles4Christ or text Cradles4Christ to 71777. Visit WaterWithBlessings.org for more information or to display your nativities.

If you want to truly prepare for Christmas and bring clean water to God's thirsty children, The Cradles of Christ Nativity Display will be a highlight of the season.
December Is A Month For Giving

It began before the month started with Giving Tuesday. Now we are moving forward through the month of December with many ways to bestow the gift of clean water to God’s thirsty children around the world.

For many people, there are ways to give beyond just writing a check. Here are a few examples of year-end giving strategies to help provide clean water:

  • If you have appreciated stocks or securities, there are tax-saving methods to make your money go further and help yourself at the same time.
  • Also, you can consider providing to Water With Blessings a distribution from an IRA.
  • Many people have made provisions in their wills, or a bequest to Water With Blessings.

We would be happy to help you with any of these vehicles for helping provide more clean water for God's thirsty children around the world. If you would like more information, please contact Rebecca Stutsman, our Chief Development Officer, at rebecca@waterwithblessings.org, or call the office: 502-749-5492.

We’re looking forward to 2022 and expanding our outreach to those in need. So please plan to join us. We can only do it with your help.
Looking for Unique Christmas Gifts?

Water With Blessings is again hosting the Cradles of Christ Nativity Display at Celebration Hall on Main Street in Middletown on Friday, Dec. 10, 4:00 - 8:00 pm and Saturday, December 11, 10:00 - 4:00 pm.

The expanded event includes over 300 unusual and beautifully displayed manger scenes along with their stories and the Silent Night Auction with over 50 unique gift ideas, including Soapmaking Class for 8, one night stay at Captain’s Cabin Bed & Breakfast, gift cards from popular restaurants like McAlisters, Comfy Cow, Heine Brothers Coffee, Heitzman’s Bakery, Fitness 19 gym memberships, swimming lessons, decorated trees and wreaths, gift cards from stores like Watson’s Outdoor, and more.

If you still can’t find that perfect gift, you can always honor someone with a donation of $75 to support a Water Woman. Your support provides clean water for her family as well as three neighboring families whom she commits to help by filtering their water. However you choose to support Water With Blessings your donations will have far-reaching impacts that will last for many, many Christmases to come.
