Hi Congregation,
Thursday Greetings! I pray you're doing well. Thank you for all of your feedback back to the search committee regarding the music candidates. We are still in the interviewing process, and we appreciate your prayers and support. Jason Tucker will be leading us in worship this Sunday.
As Memorial Day approaches, I want to take a moment to honor the veterans in our community, Thank you for your dedication and service. Military service requires a great deal of sacrifice, much of which goes unnoticed. This Memorial Day as we gather with our loved ones to laugh and rest, let us also take the time to remember the lives lost in service. May we continue to pray for our veterans, active service members, and their families, while also advocating for their needs.
God's light shines brighter than the gray of May!
Grace and Peace,
Rev. Brittany

Sunday, June 4 | 1- 2:30 PM | OB Campus | FREE | RSVP by Saturday, June 3. Please share this workshop with any parents of teens that you know.
The headlines scream "ANXIETY EPIDEMIC" and teens are feeling the pressure: in school, with peers, online, and at home. How can we cope with all this stress?
Join us for this FREE community workshop to discuss healthy strategies for managing anxiety, depression, and the daily grind in this confusing post-pandemic world. Teens and their parents will have separate workshops to zero in on the issues that matter most to each.
Parents will learn protective factors to maintain a healthy mental outlook, how to be a stable, grounding force in your family unit, and what are the warning signs that extra help is needed.
Young people will discuss the unique pressures facing their generation, from the drama of friendships, academics, and full schedules to big question marks around economic uncertainty, political upheaval, and the future of our planet.
Both workshops will be held concurrently with a mental health professionals Sheilah Cameron, Nicole Hadler & Hannah Skogebo, who specializes in youth wellness. Bring your questions and concerns; you will leave prepared to have fruitful conversations in your family about promoting everyone's mental well-being.
Light refreshments will be provided. This event is produced in collaboration with WE Youth and the New Life Counseling Center.

Padres Faith and Family Night (Padres vs. Texas Rangers)
Saturday, July 29 | Game start: 5:40 PM | Only a few spots left! RSVP by June 19
Padres Faith and Family night is back for 2023! The Padres are scheduled to play the Texas Rangers, managed by former Padres manager Bruce Bochy. Also everyone will have the opportunity to enjoy a post-game sermon from Pastor Miles McPherson.
Last year we had 23 from our two campuses attend the game! This year, because of the anticipated demand for Padres tickets, we need to get an earlier start on gauging interest and commitments to buy tickets. To sit in the same section/area as last year ticket prices are $54.00 per seat. Again this year we will use Realm to gauge interest. Reservations will close on June 19 with payment due that date. If you do not use Realm, email nhubsmith@cox.net.
NOTE: you will be responsible for your own transportation/parking to and from the game.
