Cherry Mint Chocolate Chip
Milkshake

Surprise your family or guests with a homemade Cherry & Mint Milkshake from KidFriendlyThingsToDo.com  this holiday season.

Ingredients:

  • 1 jar of maraschino cherries - without stems - 6 oz. - do not drain
  • 1 jar of maraschino cherries - with stems - for garnish
  • 2 cups mint chocolate chip ice cream
  • 1 cup of ice
  • 7 oz. of Fluff
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions:

  1. Puree the stemless maraschino cherries.
  2. Divide the cherry puree evenly between two serving glasses.
  3. For a stronger contrast between the green and red, be sure to clean the cherry juice out of your blender before proceeding to the next step.
  4. Pour the rest of the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth
  5. Til the glass at a slight angle as you pour the mint ice cream along the side of the glass, aiming away from the cherry puree.
  6. You should get a division of the cherry and mint, showing a slanted line where they come together.
  7. Garnish with whipped cream, a cherry with stem and a candy cane. ENJOY!

5 fun ways to get your kids to brush their teeth
1. Start good oral hygiene early! Schedule a visit to the dentist around the first birthday, regardless of how many teeth your child has.
2. Set a good example. When it comes to teaching good dental hygiene, practice what you preach. For fun, pretend to be a mirror the next time you and your kid brush together, and encourage them to copy you.
3. Turn toothbrushing into a game . Here are a few examples of some fun games !
4. Tell a story. Using something relatable, like a story, is a great way to get reluctant brushers to participate.
5. Choose the right tools. Use age-appropriate brushes and flossers and let your child pick out their favorite brush and flavor of toothpaste!
