October Newsletter
Hello my cyber buddies!

October is the month when it really begins to feel like Fall in California (at least where I live, it does). I LOVE this time of the year; the cooler weather and the way the "lighting" seems to change (because the days are getting shorter) puts me in a festive mood. Another thing I love about October is the pumpkins! I always buy a bunch of pumpkins in all shapes and sizes with the intention of decorating them all. And yet, sadly, I still have 9 pumpkins... undecorated... even though they've been living with us for over 2 weeks. LOL! I guess I've had just a few things on my plate lately. But that means there is some GOOOD stuff coming from DSD!

Fall/Halloween was the theme for my Design Team's projects this month and everyone has done an amazing job. This month we featured Artistic Wire's product on cards, layouts, and mixed media... as well as product from my partner companies: Zutter - tools and/or clear acrylic, Clearsnap - Mix'd Media Inx and Smooch Spritz, GCD Studios - Artistic paper and the Crafty Chronicle. Head on over to my blog to check out what everyone has done.
Well... that's it for now... Smooches ~D~D-eyes
Here's The Scoop!
The latest news from DSD... I have new re-inkers for the Mix'd Media Inx that have been released.
re-inkers
These are great for re-inking your MMI pads... but that's not all! (insert shamwow voice here... LOL). The Inx are so thick that you can actually paint with them! They work kinda like oil paint but they mix and clean up with water. Depending on what you are painting on, you may need to heat set or emboss them. They also blend well with Smooch Spritz and I'm sure the longer I play with them, the more CARAZAY cool techniques I'll come up with!

I also get to announce that I have new Embossing Powders that match my Mix'd Media Inx line!!! Yay!!!
MMIemboss
And if you know me... you know how much I LOVE embossing. I probably emboss on over half of my projects! These powders are awesome. They come in all the same colors as the Mix'd Media Inx. The "Leather" color has a touch of metallic in it and the "Denim" color is a dark blue so you can use it with your "Denim" inx to make your projects really look like denim.
EmbossGloss

And... One more exciting announcement... I also have a brand new product called Emboss Gloss.

Emboss Gloss is in the same smart container as the Glue Gloss but with embossing fluid instead! Now we can use the little wand for some detailed embossing in the way that I "tried" to use the Glue Gloss. The Glue Gloss would bubble up sometimes which gave my projects a really cool texture but sometimes I want smooth embossing... KWIM? And NOTHING beats Glue Gloss used with my Fairydust Glitter!

And last but definitely NOT least... I want to announce that I have promoted one of my Design Team Members to the position of Design Team Coordinator. Her projects are ALWAYS over the top gorgeous with some crazy intricate details like in the photo below:

Impressive!
This month I have chosen a project from the Scrapbook.com galleries that I felt was an impressive use of my products. This layout is by Mistra.

Mistra used papers from my Antiquities line: "Let's Ride" and "Harmony"mistra
If you are making projects using my products and would like a chance to be featured, upload your projects to www.scrapbook.com and tag all of my products that you have used... from my Spellbinder dies, to papers, to Smooch Spritz, glitter and Inx... I'd love to see your work!

Mistra got a goodie package with some of my Mix'd Media Inx sent to her for allowing me to showcase her beautiful work.
