Craig Finn has shared the latest episode of his popular new podcast, That’s How I Remember It. Co-produced and distributed by Talkhouse, That’s How I Remember It with Craig Finn Ep. 3 sees Finn joined for a thought-provoking and hilarious conversation by Peabody Award-winning actor, comedian, writer, producer, and musician Fred Armisen. That’s How I Remember It with Craig Finn is available at Spotify, iTunes, and all leading podcast providers; new episodes will premiere soon.
“Fred has accomplished a ton in comedy, TV and film as a cast member of SNL and creator of shows like Portlandia, Los Espookys and more,” says Finn. “But the story starts back when he was the drummer in the band Trenchmouth, who were label mates of my former band Lifter Puller. We talked here about touring in the 90s, and how that banked a world of memories that he mined to help create his amazing TV series Portlandia. We also spoke about sense memories, early MTV, Tito Puente, the period of his life between Trenchmouth and joining the cast of SNL, and discovering new things about his family history as an adult. Then we tried to figure out why the audience nervously laughs at whatever a lead singer says at an indie rock show. Such a joy to spend this time with Fred.”

An original new podcast series examining the connection between memory and creativity, each episode of That’s How I Remember It with Craig Finn will feature a discussion between Finn and one creator – including musicians, authors, filmmakers, and more – about the role memory plays in their art. These exclusive conversations reveal the different ways each creator synthesizes their remembered life experience to tell stories about themselves and the world we live in. More diverse creators to be announced soon.
