This fall and winter are full of fun volunteer opportunities—and we’d love for YOU to join in! Whether you love costumes, crafts, books, or holiday cheer, there’s a way for you (or your group!) to get involved and make a difference for the children and families we serve.

Discover the ways you can get involved:

OCTOBER

Trunk or Treat Event

Saturday, October 25 | 7:45–10:30 am

Center for Child & Family Wellness

Join us for a spook-tacular morning filled with fun and creativity! This opportunity is perfect for groups—come dressed in costume, decorate your car or vehicle, and bring candy or toddler-friendly snacks to share.

Book Drive

Now-November 7th

Share the joy of reading! Help children and families build their home libraries by donating brand new, non-religious, family-appropriate books. We especially welcome soft books and board books (ages 0–5), multicultural books, books in Spanish, and titles for all ages.

NOVEMBER

Fall Food Box Drive

November 3-17

Help support families living 100–200% below the federal poverty level, as well as homeless teens and foster youth in need of a holiday meal. Collect and assemble a “Fall Food Box” filled with nonperishable goods to share warmth and care with those who need it most.

Gobble Up a Good Book Event

Friday, November 21 | 3:15-6pm

Center for Child & Family Wellness

This fun event combines books, crafts, and food boxes! Volunteers will help distribute books and bring a fall craft for preschoolers while families pick up their fall food boxes.

DECEMBER

Breakfast with Santa Event

Saturday, December 13 | 7:15am-11am

Center for Child & Family Wellness

Bring the holiday magic to kids and teens in foster care and families in need. Groups of all sizes are welcome to join in the fun! Volunteers will provide festive winter activities such as decorating cookies, writing letters to Santa, making reindeer food, and so much more.

Thank you for your support—because of you, this holiday season will be brighter and full of joy for the children and families we serve!
