“Create the change you wish to see in the world..."
Greetings!
Hundreds of Coloradans hosted and/or participated in the first At the Table Colorado conversations, September 15th - October 15th, to create the change they wish to see in their communities. From Arvada to Grand Junction; Eagle to Castle Rock and points in between, people gathered to break bread and share their thoughts on topics from Does Public Art Matter? to Should our City Gardens Grow Only Native Plants? to the Silent Voice: Pregnancy & Infant Loss conversation and other subjects important to them.
To increase the impact of At the Table Colorado conversations, we have partnered with University of Colorado Denver, School of Public Affairs, as a Capstone Project and we are privileged to have the support of Ellen Fairleigh in compiling a report, based on survey results from At the Table participants. The survey focused on expanding the public’s perception of civic engagement and the report will be available after the first of the year. We look forward to sharing it with our partners and supporters.
Although the final report will not be available until after the first of the year, Coloradans were very clear on one point now, they want At the Table Colorado to be an ongoing series of conversations. So the next public At the Table Colorado conversations will be during April 2019, as part of National Community Service Month.
As part of the At the Table Colorado's mission to create positive permanent change through grassroots conversation, our Colorado Gives Day campaign is focused on raising support for our Take Action Grants (TAG) for conversations that develop actionable plans in April 2019. TAG Colorado, you're it...create the change you wish to see by supporting At the Table Colorado with a donation on Colorado Gives Day, December 4th. Donate Here
So the question is: what change do you want to see in your community and how will you create it?
