Ideas

What are our customers asking for?

  • Daily Routines
  • Social Emotional
  • Real Pictures

What format do we need?

  • Board Book
  • Paperback
  • Cloth Book
  • Bath Book

Content Creation

Once we have an idea of the content, we send it over to our publishing partner(s), who bring our ideas to life in a "Storyboard", a sequential series of visual panels that tell the story.

While reviewing the storyboard, we decide how many "Spreads" are needed to make the story work.

A spread is a set of two facing pages in a book.

Many times we need to cut a page or two (for layout or pricing), which means cutting a character out of the book!

The Makings of a Board Book

Once we finalize the content, negotiate the pricing, and quantity of books needed, it's off to the printer!

The storyboards are then placed on the "board" material.

Fun Fact: More than one book is printed on a board. The first and third row are one book, and the second and fourth row are another.

Off To The Presses!

The printer for a board book can take up an entire large room!

In House!

From concept to delivery, the process can take 6 months!

It's a long wait, and we are always excited when the truck finally shows up with our books....well everyone but our Receiving Department who have to put them away on our shelves!

COMING SOON!

Well....sometime in early 2027!!
