Caring for people with bleeding disorders in developing countries—

one at a time

Creating Memories

Camps create memories that can transform a life. Save One Life camp grants allow our program partners to offer camps to their members, fostering camaraderie and social inclusion, life skills such as self-infusion and good fun.

The Fundación Apoyo al Hemofílico (FAHEM) in the Dominican Republic received a camp grant in 2024. The goals of their camp is for children to gather and share with their friends, to provide educational talks regarding comprehensive care, and develop leadership in youth with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders.

Summer Camp in the Dominican Republic, 2024

Over thirty campers participated in this year's camp. They learned about dental care, advances in the treatment of hemophilia and participated in aquatic therapy. Campers enjoyed playing table games, participating in contests and competing for prizes.

The 2024 summer camp logo was designed by former Save One Life sponsorship beneficiary, Enmanuel de Villar, who graduated from the program in 2017. He now owns and operates a graphic design company.

Save One Life commits to sending sponsorship funds to beneficiaries —

even after they lose a sponsor.

1108 children sponsored through our Sponsorship Program

49 covered by the Save One Life Community Fund

Please consider sponsoring one of the 49 children available for sponsorship, like Dalton from Uganda.

Dalton is nine years old and has severe hemophilia A. His favorite subjects in school are English and science. When not studying, he helps his grandmother with household chores. Dalton's mother passed away when he was just a baby and his father now supports a new family. Dalton lives with his grandmother and two aunts, and their income is very limited.

The sponsorship funds will be a huge help to Dalton's family. The funds will be used for basic necessities, medical treatment and transportation.

Let's help this family — Sponsor Dalton!

Thank you to Myrish Antonio and Eric Hill!

We would like to extend our gratitude to two of our long standing board members, Myrish Antonio and Eric Hill, who completed their tenure on our Board of Directors at the end of 2024. We appreciate all they have done for Save One Life. They have been instrumental in its continued growth and success. Thanks Eric and Myrish! You will be missed.

Myrish Antonio served on our board for nine years, ending her tenure as President of the Board. Myrish helped grow and nurture relations with our program partners in the Philippines. She traveled there several times and represented Save One Life. She enjoyed visits with beneficiaries and the opportunity to help distribute sponsorship funds.

Eric Hill served on our board for nine years as Treasurer. His knowledge, expertise and insight were instrumental in the success of Save One Life. Not only was he an integral part of our board, he also participated in and fundraised for many of our climbing adventure fundraisers.
