Making Sustainability Easier for Communities
New searchable resource for local governments
The Sustainable Development Code's mission is to help local governments build more resilient, environmentally conscious, economically secure, and socially equitable communities. The Code includes more than 250 free, fully searchable recommendations supported by over 1,000 local ordinances. The first two fully drafted sub-chapters will launch on May 15: Climate Change and Wildlife Habitat Protection Check out the online resource, and subscribe in order to learn when new sub-chapters are published..

RDG's Amy Haase was one of four panelists in an April 16 session at the APA's National Planning Conference in San Francisco. Amy and her colleagues shared insights related to navigating the process of selecting a planning consultant, including what content is needed in an RFP, tips on evaluating submissions and conducting interviews, and outlining the planner's ethical responsibilities.
