Message from the President
From every corner of Delaware, our members are acting in response to our present-day health challenges. At the same time, many are rethinking how to address what Merck Chairman and CEO Ken Frazier describes as the “opportunity gap” that holds back youth, predominantly in the Black community, from employment options.  His interview on CNBC can be viewed here . Ken Frazier calls for unity amid civil unrest on CNBC. In his message, Frazier makes the argument that it is in our "enlightened economic self-interest for all Americans to feel like they are participants in our economy. ... Business can step up to provide the leadership this country needs." Read more
WEBINAR
JUNE 25 | 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Workforce development and diversity & inclusion initiatives are a priority for businesses, large and small. We hear the term, “opportunity gap” as applied to the experiences of people of color in America, especially Black and African American employees. This is a serious issue not only for Delaware but our nation as whole. So how can you as an employer play a vital role in helping to close the opportunity gap?

Stephanie Creary, Ph.D. of University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and Dr. Tony Allen of Delaware State University will join us for a much-needed conversation on concrete steps businesses can take to recruit, engage, develop, and retain Black and African American employees.

This creates a need for a safe space in which students feel comfortable to discuss a variety of important topics such as bullying, handling conflicts with peers, social media behavior and more. Enter Talley Middle School’s Student Advisory Program... Read more >

Meetings are public and PRAC is looking for feedback and suggestions. View upcoming meetings and submit comments >

IT'S MORE THAN JUST A NUMBER

Whenever a prudent company invests their time, energy and financial resources into something, decision-makers typically have some semblance of how the investment will affect their bottom line. Return on investment (ROI) is the tried-and-trued evaluation method for corporate wellness programs. However, traditional ROI analyses overlook many of the benefits, thereby underestimating the program’s true value, which is why so many business leaders, benefits consultants and third-party wellness vendors are shifting to the more comprehensive value on investment (VOI) paradigm.
