Hi! I'm Anne Marie, the creator of KaleidoSoul.com, and a SoulCollage® Facilitator in Massachusetts and worldwide online.
|
There are three cards that represent the ONE that holds the MANY other Neters (parts, energies) in one’s deck. They are:
Source– This card represents the Source from which everything comes. Depending on your background and preference, you might call this card: God, Spirit, Source, The One, the Universe, or anything you choose. It is more of an energy than an actual representation of a physical being. You can see some examples of Source cards on this page and also here. See my Source card in the right side column here.
SoulEssence- This card represents that spark of Source that exists in each of us. You can see some examples of SoulEssence cards on this page and also here. See my SoulEssence card in the right side column here.
Witness– This card represents the energy of the Divine/Source that allows us to become more aware and conscious of all of our many parts/Neters. You can see some examples of Witness cards on this page. My witness card is shown above.
SPECIAL NOTE:- The Transpersonal cards in your deck are NOT a suit. They are NOT drawn from when you do a reading. It’s a good idea to keep these three cards a little bit apart from your deck. Let them hold the space that is your deck of many Neters!
Also important- they do NOT speak with I Am the One Who… as the other Neters in your deck do.

In 2005, she fell in love with SoulCollage® and was inspired to use her professional experience along with web technology as a means to serve the world by putting SoulCollage® "out there" in a really big way with KaleidoSoul. Anne Marie lives in eastern Massachusetts with her middle-aged husband, one adolescent feline, and a treasury of birds, squirrels and chipmunks who keep them hopping. Her books about SoulCollage® are available here.

I’m Linda Woolfson, MA, PhD, SoulCollage® Trainer & Facilitator, Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator, writer, translator and creativity catalyst. As a practitioner of SoulCollage® and as a Facilitator, I love bearing witness to how personal and unique our relationship with the Trans-personal cards can become.

Paradoxically Personal:
Evolving a Relationship
with your Transpersonal cards
|
In some of his best-loved and most evocative lines, Rumi writes:
Out beyond ideas of wrong doing and right doing,
there is a field. I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language,
even the phrase “each other”
doesn’t make any sense.
Rumi’s “field,” stretching out beyond everything familiar, beyond all our ways of navigating through life, beyond our drive to communicate or to interpret our experiences, resonates with a numinous fullness. When Seena Frost created SoulCollage®, she did so in exquisite awareness of this “field.”
The three Transpersonal cards are a mysterious paradox at the heart of SoulCollage®. Formless and silent, they are in a way impossible to write about or to describe. Yet Seena’s pages about the Transpersonal cards in her book, SoulCollage® Evolving, are among the most powerfully magical in the whole book, illustrating clearly that she was a poet, a poet so drawn to spirituality that as a young woman she chose to study Divinity at Harvard. Seena’s simple yet evocative writing about the Transpersonal cards shows how immersed she had been in the sacred before she ever became the birthmother of SoulCollage®.
In almost every way, the Transpersonal cards are different from all others. Seena’s words about SoulEssence hold also for Source and Witness – it is “not a Neter at all, as it has no form.” (p8). In contrast to our other cards, which speak, interact, get their fingers into the dough of life and have a shadow, the Transpersonal cards allude to something “out beyond” what can be imaged, spoken of or expressed. As symbols, they “point to” a territory Seena calls “this infinite reservoir of the possible” (p 12).
Like Rumi’s field where “the world is too full to talk about,” the Transpersonal cards invite us into silence, into what Seena calls “a movement into a place of vastness, wordlessness, and peace.” (p 15) This doorway opening into silence calls us also into the world of ritual. Laying out our Transpersonal cards each time we begin a card reading creates a silent fullness within which the reading can be held. Taking a few moments to lay out your Transpersonal cards can quiet and clear the mind, while supporting your Neters to come forth with full authenticity:

Lay-out for Spring 2023 SoulCollage® reading
Being vast in their silent resonance, your Transpersonal cards may take time to come to you. Years ago now, I trained as a Facilitator quite early in my SoulCollage® journey. As I was preparing to fly to California, I started to worry about not having yet made any Transpersonal cards. Surely I couldn’t go without “at least a Source card?” I therefore made, under self-imposed pressure, a Source card which I replaced later. Among the most intuitively based cards in our deck, these cards are not amenable to pressure or control! By contrast, as a Facilitator I have borne witness to more than one person creating what turns out to be a Transpersonal card in their very first workshop.

To the left - Back of Transpersonal cards - Linda Woolfson
Once you’ve created your Transpersonal cards, enjoy finding your own way to honor their presence. You may opt to back them in a way that both acknowledges their specialness and makes it easy to distinguish them from the rest of your deck. I spent what seemed at the time an absurd amount on just one sheet of hand-made Japanese paper to back my Transpersonal cards. I have never regretted the investment.
Our Transpersonal cards both anchor and amplify our card-readings, imbuing our SoulCollage® life with a resonance both intimate and connected to infinity. Yet this doesn’t mean that once you’ve made them, they’re necessarily there forever. On the contrary. If you wish, your connection with your Transpersonal cards can become a vibrant part of your spiritual evolution, a “field” which frees you to explore the flow of your own changing nature. Remember that Seena initially created just one Transpersonal card - Source- which grew over time into three cards as her awareness of Source modulated in parallel with developing SoulCollage®. Similarly, your relationship with your Transpersonal cards can change to reflect your ongoing evolution as a spiritual being.
I wish you a vibrant and unique relationship to the Transpersonal cards in your deck.
