Virtual Lessons, Zoom Chats, and Shifting Summer Events!
While continuing to navigate COVID-19 as safely as possible with special consideration for our children and families, all children's activities are now cancelled until June 22nd. We continue to monitor the current circumstances, while being very intentional about keeping our church family safe and healthy!

Please read below for some important event-based updates and changes, and a letter from our Children's Director. As this situation changes day-to-day, so does our hopeful plan of moving forward.

VBS 2020 Update!

We are tentatively planning to reschedule our Rocky Railway VBS for sometime in August!

Details for this are being prayed and pondered over, and will promptly be announced as soon as possible.
(Registration for this will not take place until there is a newly set date and time.)

Grow Day Camp is Cancelled

Camp Glisson has made the safety-focused and cautious decision to cancel all Grow Day Camp events for this summer.

While we are sad to miss it this year, we have already submitted our request to host Grow Day Camp in 2021, and look forward to camp during a healthier season!
Virtual Lessons Every Sunday!

Ms. Rachel continues to create and post new virtual lesson videos each and every Sunday morning! If you haven't seen them yet, TUNE IN on our Facebook page , or our Youtube Channel. Each lesson is full of bible stories, crafts, and sometimes science experiments!
A Letter from our Children's Director
To all of our children and families, I MISS YOU!

While the need for social distancing has extended longer than some expected or wanted, I am so grateful that NFUMC is maintaining a responsible, considerate, and safety-focused approach to our continuing circumstances.

"Social distancing" is very challenging to appropriately enforce with groups of children, and impossible to adhere to in a nursery setting. It is due to this reality that our Children's Ministry will continue to move forward with extreme caution, and unique regard to decisions surrounding our children and families.

We will not put our children, children/nursery volunteers, or loved ones at risk, and will continue to wisely and prayerfully approach any decisions regarding in-person gatherings for our children. As the present and future is uncertain, we consider and prepare for the fact that this may mean that our children's and nursery offerings are postponed longer than others if that is what is needed for the upmost safety.

I appreciate your understanding, flexibility, trust, and prayers during this time! Let us be SO THANKFUL for the amazing technological age in which we live. We are able to easily stay connected "from a safe distance" and that is truly a blessing.

Trust that once our world has returned to a safe state, we will CELEBRATE the togetherness, knowing that it will be truly safe to do so.

In the meantime, parents and children, I am here for you! Find me on Facebook , let's chat on Zoom, or send me your cool drawings! The lessons and communication will continue, regardless of the distance.

Ms. Rachel
Director of Children's Ministry
