 Creativ Festival (formerly Creative Sewing and Needlework Festival) was Canada's first consumer show designed to inspire creativity and dedicated to promoting all the creative arts of sewing, knitting, beading, quilting, scrapbooking, needlework and crafting! And, it's back with electrifying energy and excitement! The only show of its kind in Canada this fall, come see what the buzz is all about.

 5 days of conference classes (Wednesday to Sunday) where you get up-close, hands-on instruction from internationally acclaimed technique, design and trend experts. Whether a beginner or seasoned pro, there's always something new to learn. Who better than Norm & Gio Gaudet to show you the ropes about felting? Knitwear author and designer Fiona Ellis tells all about Fractured Fair Isles, Designer Details, Entrelac and Directional Knitting, while author/fibre artist Linda McGehee shares New Angles in Strip Piecing and Threadwork. |
 For fashion sewing at its best, get insider tips from Sandra Betzina, Kathryn Brenne, Ron Collins, Cecelia Podolak and Linda MacPhee. They're among the sewing stars back with classes on everything from designer finishes, sewing sheer fabrics and working with leather to zippers, fit and tailored garments. It's all the rage and you can even make a fascinator with milliner, Chistel Wille. |
 Among the first time special guests are Pam Damour, the Decorating Diva with a hot new drapery panels class where you not only pick up trendy window treatment how-tos, but also learn and make 8 different types of pinch pleats. And, if doll making's your thing, you'll want to join cloth doll designer, Colleen Babcock visiting from the UK. And, altered Photo Artistry and Threadography� are the trademarks of freelance artist, author and instructor Beth Wheeler. |
 A festival first, with the help of Nortel Manufacturing, we're offering small, intimate 3 hour hands-on classes to introduce you to glass bead making with Susan Stortini. Or, give lampworking a try at shorter 1.5 hour sessions. Whether it's working with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS under the guidance of CREATE YOUR STYLE with SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS ambassadors or the professor of crystal, making chainmail jewellery or beadweaving, there's something at all levels of jewellery making. |
 There's more for stitchers because of our partnership with the Embroiderers Association of Canada. You'll find their members on the show floor celebrating stitching or take part in the diverse range of hands-on classes from crewel, hardanger, stumpwork and Brazilian embroidery to blackwork, goldwork and Swedish weaving. Plus enjoy beginner to advanced canvas work and cross stitch classes or learn a variety of stitches as you create an ATC. |
