"Mona Lisa" Fans
The “Mona Lisa” has its own mailbox in the Louvre Museum in Paris because so many fans write her love letters. The tradition dates back to the 19th century, when admirers first began leaving offerings near the painting. Over time, the volume of letters grew so much that the Louvre installed a special mailbox. Museum staff archives these messages, turning fan devotion into a preserved piece of cultural history.

We won BOSS Awards!! Gallery Nantasket has again been awarded the Best of the South Shore (BOSS) award for Best Art Gallery and for Best Artisan Gifts by readers of South Shore Home, Life & Style magazine.This is the fifth year we’ve received a BOSS Award!

Hull Artists invites you to join us for our 30th Annual Open Studios, July 18-19, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This much-anticipated summer event is a fantastic opportunity to step into the homes and studios of some of the most talented artists on the South Shore. As the largest home-studios event on the South Shore, we feature 33 artists across 23 locations throughout Hull’s peninsula and neighboring communities, plus our award-winning Gallery Nantasket.

Congratulations to HA members Paul Goes and Brenda M. White Henriquez, who were recently juried as Gallery Artists at the South Shore Arts Center in Cohasset. This prestigious selection is for professional artists who consistently work in their field and have a body of recent work sufficient to support a regular showing schedule. To become a Gallery Artist, applicants must submit an extensive portfolio to a selection jury that meets twice a year.

Different outdoor locations
We encourage artists to enjoy Hull’s natural beauty and diverse landscapes.
Locations include seaside scenes, historic sites, scenic vistas, and private gardens.
Sessions are scheduled to make the most of the morning light and
finish before the afternoon heat (9 a.m.-12 p.m.).
Open and free to all—artists of any level or ability are welcome.
No instruction is provided; just bring your supplies and enjoy.
