Fresh Art, Events & Inspiration

from Hull Artists Association

Art Trivia

Did you know that between 1912 and 1948, the Olympic Games awarded medals not just to athletes—but to artists? Competitions in architecture, painting, sculpture, music, and literature celebrated works inspired by sport. As professional artists increasingly filled the competitions, however, the events were dropped for contradicting the Olympics’ original spirit of amateur competition.

Membership Information

Hull Artists Association may call Hull home, but our circle extends well beyond the Town’s borders. Nearly half of our members—42 percent—come from outside Hull, drawn in by the sense of belonging, creativity, and shared passion for the arts that makes our community feel like home.

While we’re often thought of as a group of working artists, Hull Artists Association is really a collective of many kinds of people. Artists, art lovers, supporters, and neighbors all play a part. You don’t have to create art to be part of our story—our non-artist members are essential to our heart and our mission, helping keep the arts connected to everyday life.

Hull Artists thrives because of this warm mix of creators, patrons, and community members, all coming together to support one another and ensure that art remains a joyful, welcoming, and visible part of our shared community.

We welcome our newest members, Wendy Adams, Craig Bradley, Brian King, and Shelly Osterberg!
