Announcing Creative Placemaking Summit 8

Oct. 3-7, 2022  Lansing

Drum roll, please...

Friends, artists, creatives, placemakers, community builders and arts lovers, the Arts Council is extremely pleased to announce our 2022 Summit!

Envisioning

The Summit will incorporate voices near and (a few) far, celebrating local flavor and exploring where we've been, what we've done and where we're heading. Together we'll reflect on the past and the present as we envision the next generation of creative placemaking

Listening

In response to community feedback, Creative Placemaking 8: A Retrospective will be a multi-day, multi-venue experience, featuring panels, talkbacks, presentations, poetry, music, art, performances, surprises and a whole lot of fun. You will have the opportunity to attend each day, or pick and choose what speaks the most to you.

Co-creating

This year we are centering the voices of our city's creatives, artists and placemakers. Do you have a presentation or workshop you’d like to present that fits with this year's theme? Or would you like to contribute to a panel discussion? If so, we invite you to submit a proposal by Aug. 15, 2022.

Supporting

Interested in being a sponsor? We have lots of ways that you can help us create and support this event. Contact our executive director, Meghan Martin.

Stay tuned for information on speakers and venues in the coming weeks and months. We can’t wait to share everything with you!
