COVID-19 Update: Creative Strategies for Changing Times
Dear Friends,
Thank you for your support during this challenging time of the Coronavirus crisis. As you can imagine, here at The Art Effect we've been discussing how the arts and young people's creative voices are vital in this new reality of social distancing, school closures, and ever shifting-priorities.
Now, more than ever, we recognize the power of arts and creativity for social impact, learning, and connection. We have begun a daily “Art At Home” series on social media to encourage you to keep expressing yourself creatively. I invite you to follow usonFacebookorInstagramand join the daily challenges. An archive of these projects can be found at: feelthearteffect.org/artpocalypse.

Our offices may have closed, but many of our youth programs will continue as distance learning programs. Youth workforce programs recently wrapped up after two weeks of digital learning, and spring courses are back to full speed online. Registered participants will be contacted with information about how these restructured digital classes will take place. If you have any questions, please contactinfo@feelthearteffect.org. If you'd like to sign up for our remaining spring classes, visit our website here.
The Art Effect is in a unique position to serve as a resource for educators, businesses and other organizations looking for guidance on adapting to online working and learning. We will offer media production, content creation, and educational consulting to individuals and businesses seeking advice and support as we all adapt to a digital world. For more information, please contact Mary Ellen Iatropoulos at maryellen@feelthearteffect.org.
Without you, The Art Effect would not be able to continue to reach young people throughout the Hudson Valley through the arts, giving them opportunities to experiment, learn new skills, and remain engaged. Currently, we have reduced staff across the organization in order to continue delivering services to our community and face many unmet financial and organizational needs. If you are able, please consider supporting The Art Effect's ongoing operations by donating at:https://feelthearteffect.org/donate.
We look forward to connecting and creating with you, even in these moments where the world around us is in upheaval. It is by working together and sharing our creative voices that we will all make it through.
Best wishes for safety and good health,
Nicole Fenichel-Hewitt
