With our founder Priscilla Plummer in town and three local supporters just back from Southern Africa, a gathering was in order! On August 18, board members, supporters, and travelers Denice Harvey, Scott Horenstein, and Ralph Doggett met at the office of GSGC Treasurer Heidi Johnson Bixby. Together, we raised nearly $13,000, shared GSGC updates, and heard inspiring reflections from the travelers! "The experiences made me realize the kind of impact the program is having on the kids, and how, as time goes on, the respect they’ve learned for each other will pass through the generations,” Scott said.
