CAC membership
Plan to join us for another exciting year of classes, events and gallery shows. New membership and renewals are always available on line or by filling out a form at our gallery. Please don't limit yourself in thinking that only someone who is identified as an artist can be a member of an art council. We need and want your unique kind of creativity!

80+ members have recently renewed or joined the arts council. Thank you for filling out the information boxes on the application. Many of you have volunteered that you want to be more involved. We are looking forward to sharing opportunities with you.
April Membership Meeting Recap
Rhonda Schrum gave an entertaining and informative presentation on the tortured life and art of Edvard Munch. Crossroads Arts Council's rendition of The Scream was available for photo fun and ice cream treats contributed to the theme of the evening.

At every member meeting, a door prize drawing for a free month rental of the East Gallery is held. This month's winner was Diane Ransom.
Girl Scouts Learn to Quilt
Crossroads Arts Council member Gigi Krumlinde has been teaching local Girl Scout troops the heritage art of quilting. Over 50 young ladies aged 8 to 18 have learned to piece a four patch quilt top. assemble the quilt front, batting and back, hand quilt, and bind the quilt.

Their hard work will be displayed at the annual Pieces of the Heart quilt show October 19th - 21st at the Wentzville Community Club.

If you work with young people who are interested in learning heritage arts such as sewing, weaving, and quilting, contact Gigi for more information.
Painting with the Stars Recap
Local community "stars" painted for their charities on May 6 at Elbee's The Gathering Spot. Carol Ann Robertson (Wentzville United Methodist Church), Randy Diebel (Wentzville Christian Church), Father Timothy Elliot (St. Gianna Catholic Church), and Sister Virginia Francisca (The Father Pablo's Mission Helpers, Flint Hill) worked hard to complete their painting of the Elbee's General Store facade under the expert instruction of CAC member Linda Wilmes. The winner of this year's event was Randy Diebel. All money raised supports local charities and the Crossroads Arts Council.
