March is Stewardship Month!
Stewardship Sunday | March 3 rd

Please start thinking NOW about your pledge for fiscal year 2019-20, so you will be ready to hand in your pledge card on March 3 rd . Pledge packets will be mailed in February, allowing time to fill out pledge cards and/or post pledges on-line. Everyone is invited to bring their pledge card on Stewardship Sunday, when we will demonstrate our commitment to FP by walking to the altar and offering our pledge cards. This is an extremely powerful service and we would love everyone to participate.
Thank you!

New Monthly Bulletin Announcement

We have started to print a MONTHLY paper bulletin beginning this month.  Currently, we update & print the Bulletin every week. We anticipate that moving to a monthly bulletin will reduce paper waste & be a time-saver in the Office.

Here's how it will work: al l announcements for the upcoming month are due by noon on the last Wednesday of the month.  For example, all announcements for the March Bulletin should be emailed to Sheila by noon on February 27th.

In cases where events arise after the monthly bulletin has been printed, leaders are invited to create an insert for the Order of Service. You are welcome to make copies here at First Parish, and then stuff your insert into the OOS.
The eNews will still be emailed every Friday!
Snow Cancellation Policy

First Parish will only cancel Sunday Worship Service if a City-wide parking ban is in effect through 10am on Sunday. We will send an email if Service is cancelled. Click here for the City of Portland's Parking Ban page.
(Moe says you don't have to come if you don't want to! If you come, bring a shovel!)
Blankets, Gloves & Socks Collection

Faith in Action is collecting clean blankets, gloves and socks for the homeless. Please place your donations in the box in the Parish Hall, near the coat rack.
Office Notes

Be sure to ask for a Bulletin when you pick up your Order of Service on Sunday, so you don't miss out on any First Parish news or events!
