Call For Art

Flower in a Cup Supplies: 3 colored plastic spoons 3 green pipe cleaners 1 colored pipe cleaner tape Plastic cup Brown crinkle paper

Instructions: Tape colored pipe cleaner to the inside of one spoon handle. Make sure pipe cleaner is a little taller than the spoon, so the tip is sticking up over the spoon. Trim pipe cleaner to be even with the bottom of spoon. Face all 3 spoons inward, forming a triangle with the handles. Wrap the handles with tape to hold the spoons together. Wrap 2 green pipe cleaners around the spoon handles to cover the tape and to make the stem. Cut the third green pipe cleaner into 3 pieces. Tuck each piece into the wrapped stem to make flower leaves. With a piece of tape, make a loop so the sticky side is facing up around the loop. Put the tape loop in the bottom of the plastic cup. Place the bottom end of your spoon flower on the tape. The tape should hold the flower in place. Fill the cup up with crinkle paper.  Your flower could be given to a Mom as a Mother’s Day surprise!
