Spaghetti Hedgehog
Supplies:

  • Supplies you will need:
  • Ball of play dough or model magic
  • Dried spaghetti noodles
  • 2 black whole peppercorns
  • Pom pom nose or black marker
  • Glue
To Make:

  • Form play dough into a smooth round ball. Form a nose from one side of the ball.
  • Break spaghetti noodles into 1-inch pieces and press them into rows in the hedgehog back to form quills.
  • Push the black peppercorns into the play dough above the nose to create his eyes.
  • Glue pom pom onto the tip of the nose or color in a circle with the marker.
  • Enjoy your cute little critter!
Pineapple Planter
Supplies:

  • Terracotta pot
  • Yellow paint
  • Foam paintbrush
  • Black marker
  • Small pointy plant – to look like the top of a pineapple
  • Potting soil
To Make:

  • Make sure your pot is clean! Use the foam brush and paint the entire outside of the terracotta pot with the yellow paint. Let dry and repeat if necessary. You will want to paint 1 inch inside the pot so you only see yellow above the soil.
  • Now it’s time to get creative. Use the black marker to draw upside down V’s. No particular order or pattern to follow. You create your pot to resemble the outside of a pineapple.
  • Plant your “pineapple top” in the terracotta pot and place more potting soil around the plant to keep it stable. Pour a little water into the soil to give the plant a drink.
  • Enjoy taking care of your pineapple planter this summer!
