Feather Cone Turkey
Supplies:

  • Brown. White, red and orange paper
  • Feathers
  • Salad plate or a circle to use as a pattern
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Black maker
  • Glue
To Make:

  1. Place the salad plate on top of the brown paper and trace around the plate with the pencil to make a circle on the paper. Lift up the plate and cut out the circle with the scissors. Once the circle is cut out, find the middle of circle using the ruler. Make a mark where the center is. Draw a triangle wedge using your center mark for the top of wedge. Cut the triangle wedge out of the circle.
  2. Bring the cut sides of your circle together and tape the inside of the cone together.
  3. Cut two round eyes from the white paper and color in black pupils with the marker. Cut a beak from orange paper and the turkeys wattle from the red paper.
  4. Glue eyes onto the cone. Glue beak and wattle under eyes.
  5. Dot glue to the back of the cone. Place feathers on the glue dots in random order. Make sure feathers are sticking up over the turkeys heads.
  6. Happy Thanksgiving!
