Welcome to this week's Creativity Crate. Today we're headed to design school!
The #IsolationChair hashtag has gone viral. If you've not heard of it, it resembles a first-year Industrial Design school assignment: grab some random materials and quickly assemble them into the likeness of a chair.
It started because during the social lockdown, Barcelona-based furniture designer Max Enrich wanted to do what many designers do....make something.
Now it's your turn. You can chose to  share your a chair with us, or you can keep your furniture to yourself.
In case you missed it, we've linked past prompts and Creativity Crates here . Take a look! →
Explore the virtual Alliance
Thursdays, May 21 and May 28  • Experience and enjoy live theatre from your own home and from the best seats in your house! Spend your Thursday evening wrapped up in short, one-act plays written especially for online viewing. Creators, performers, fans and newcomers welcome, all we ask is that you RSVP so we can provide you with the access link and information.
The Best Seats In Your House  series is free to view and kicks off  May 21  and continues  May 28 . Productions are directed by Bill Taylor include all your local favorites including Kayleigh O’Connell, Anna Grilli, Lemec Bernard, Imani Williams, Madelaine Weymouth, Steve Coe, Katie Pankow and Stephanie Davis!
Saturday, May 16 and May 30 • Grab the entire family and gather around your computer for an evening of virtual trivia with your friends from the Alliance! Play and answer in real time with our live host, the Alliance for the Arts’ very own Technical Director, brewmaster and trivia guru, Adam Trummel. Plus, there are prizes up for grabs!
Thursdays, May 21 - 28 • Drawing and journaling may help you find answers to questions swimming in your head or to reflect on feelings you may have but that are hard to process. This art is art for the heart, not art for the museum. The emphasis on the journaling is to help students express and process the complex feelings they may be experiencing during this difficult time.
Pssst! Check our classes page for June virtual classes, coming soon!
Rise and shine with us on Saturday mornings. Yoga Bird will host a free, live-stream yoga session on the  Alliance for the Arts GreenMarket Facebook page  each and every Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
Plus, following a nearly 11 year tradition, our GreenMarket is bringing back our summer workshop series (virtually, that is)! Head to the  Alliance for the Arts GreenMarket Facebook page  Saturday, May 16 at 11 a.m. EST for  Cheese 101 - Virtual Demo  and Thursday, May 21 for  Virtual Cheese Tasting  presented by the incredible Caroline Hostettler of Quality Cheese.
It's all happening - no code, no fee - just tune to the page!
