Dear Headwaters Creek Community,
Your guides are working hard to prepare a distance-learning program while campuses are closed. We will be using Zoom for classroom meetings.
Those who do not wish for their children to be video-recorded may opt to attend the meeting with audio only. Guides will also use the tool Screencast-O-Matic to record stories and lessons, which we will send directly to you.
While campuses are closed you can expect the following:
Your classroom guides will email you
detailing a suggested daily schedule, curated work options, resources, and meeting times. We intend to provide structure, opportunities to connect, and to keep things simple. Work options will engage children beyond screens.
Classroom guides will email you
to check in and will provide you opportunities to consult with them.
Soon we will add this information to your classroom Bulletin Board in the Nest, which will be a great hub for information with Weekly Outlines, Recorded Zoom Conferences, and Screencast links.
Specials guides and Creativity Club guides are working on activities and recorded lessons which will be made available next week. In the meantime, you can
access guides reading stories here
As a reminder, you can access the Nest by going to Headwaters.org and clicking "Nest Login" at the top right or by

As children start this new journey with distance learning, they continue to look to parents and guides for direction. The
Child Mind Institute
is a wonderful mental health resource for families.
