On behalf of the Creekside Co-op Board of Directors, I am writing to inform you that Dan Reynolds has decided to step down from serving as the President.   I want to express our appreciation to Dan who has served as president for nearly 1 1/2 years.  Thank you, Dan!
The Board of Directors have asked and I have accepted the opportunity to be your new President.  I want to thank so many of you who are passionate supporters of CreekSide Co-op including the visionaries who literally built the Co-op, local elected officials, current and past Board members, volunteers, extremely dedicated employees, and especially you our devoted members and shoppers!
The CreekSide Co-op is a place where we want "everyone to know your name" and continues to play a critical role in the revitalization of the Elkins Park business district.
Today, the CreekSide Co-op has four key priorities which are:
Core 4
1. Increase Sales
This is by far the Co-op's biggest opportunity and challenge. We appreciate those of you who are happy with the Co-op, please tell your friends. If you are not happy, tell Patti and the Board so that we can continue to build upon our improvements. Although membership does come with benefits, you do NOT need to be a member to shop at the Co-op.

2. Increase Membership
Today, the Co-op has approximately 1,300 members. We must continue to grow our membership and encourage current members to increase and/or accelerate buying into their total equity (Only $400 which can be paid over 8 years).

3. Enhance the Customer Experience
One of the key ways that we can and will differentiate ourselves from the competition is in our ability to delight you our customers. "Did you find everything that you needed?" or "Thank you for shopping at the Creekside Co-op" are just two simple ways in which we can be different from the big chain stores.

4. Driving Positive Financial Results
We will continue to look for ways to enhance the financial reporting capabilities so that we can make astute business decisions based upon accurate and reliable financial data.

Here are my 4 asks of all of you (you probably notice that I like things in 4's):
  • Keep the faith in the Co-op. The employees and the Board continue to work hard to make the Co-op experience a positive and enjoyable one. We are not perfect but boy do we work hard to try to get better.
  • Shop first at the Co-op - Encourage your neighbors, friends, and even your enemies to shop at the Co-op. Although we want all customers to be members, the Co-op is open to all!
  • Easter/Passover - With the holidays quickly approaching, please seriously consider doing your shopping (or the majority) at the Co-op. Be sure to pick up a Holiday Menu which will be available soon.
  • Feedback - We want to hear your feedback. Last week, many of you took the time to make more than 230 comments on Elkins Park Happenings! We are listening to your feedback and suggestions. All feedback can be sent to Jeff Cohen, Board Member at jsc903@gmail.com or just drop a note in our store suggestion box located at customer service.

Again, thank you for your on-going commitment to the Co-op. Feel free to reach out to Patti, GM, myself and/or any of the Board Members listed below.
Hope to see you at our next Board Meeting this Wednesday, February 28th at 7:30pm at the EP Train Station.

See you at the Co-op!
