ITS (International Thespian Society) AWESOMENESS
Last weekend 75 Creekside students participated in the ITS District Festival held at Mandarin High School. Creekside was one of the largest school’s in attendance and brought the most pieces out of any school. Our outstanding students earned a total of 33 Superior and 23 Excellent Ratings. Leila Browder and Grace Byrd were named the recipients of the Critic’s Choice Award for their duet Pantomime, and Sean O’Donnell was name the recipient of the Critic’s Choice Award for his Solo Musical Performance. On top of that, Grace Byrd was awarded one of four district scholarships. Our students represented Creekside so well; in addition to fantastic performances and technical presentations, the day was truly a celebration of great comradery and outstanding sportsmanship and good character. Please join me in congratulating our awesome students (individual results are below)!

ATHLETICS NEWS
We now have Pixellot HD cameras at the stadium and gymnasium! Watch Knights Soccer, Basketball, Wrestling, Lacrosse, Track, Football, and Volleyball live and/or on demand!

You can also watch the Knights (or any team) across the nation wherever cameras are available including Bartram, Nease, Episcopal, Bolles.

(Hint) Subscriptions make great Christmas presents for out of state friends and family!

ONLINE APPAREL INFORMATION
CLUB & CAMPUS ACTIVITIES
There is a yarn drive for "Crochet for a Cause" in the front office. Please drop off all yarn there. It will be used to make gifts for the needy, such as, lap blankets for patients and cancer caps. No wool, please. There will also be a meeting on Tuesday December 3rd after school in room 575. Anyone interested in joining can pick up an application in Ms. Hancock's room, 575.

Creekside is a donation drop-off location for No More Hungry Holidays! There are donation bins located outside the front office. Your food donations will help the Hugs club prepare bags of food for St. Johns County youth who need food over the winter break. Last year, we prepared more than 600 bags to support local youth. Thanks in advance!

Our annual Barnes & Noble Bookfair will be on Saturday, December 14 at the San Jose location. Please support our media center by mentioning Creekside at the register. Volunteers are needed as well.

4th Annual Turkey Trot Race, Thanksgiving Morning in Nocatee
Volunteers needed to help: set-up and clean-up, hand out water to the racers, direct racers along the course, wear the turkey costume while greeting bystanders and encouraging racers. 
Come join this family-friendly event and earn service hour certificates.

Annual Giving Tree Initiative
Volunteers need to help: distribute paper ornaments with wishes from non-profit organizations serving Elderly, Veterans, Homeless, Abused, Children and Animals in St. Johns County to donation host sites in mid-November. During the 2nd week of December, volunteers needed to: collect donations from the host sites, deliver to sorting location, inventory, sort and box donations for the individual non-profit organizations.
  • This is a great way to share the joy of the holidays with others.
  • Service hour certificates will be available. 
  • Volunteer registration will open at the end of October at the link under Giving Tree on the www.stjohnscares.org Home Page.
