HOMECOMING ACTIVITIES RECAP
CHS Spirit Week Food Drive

Creekside's Sophomore Class Council (Class of '22) and Creekside Hugs Across the County would like to extend a huge thank you to Creekside students for donating food last week to attend the Homecoming pep rally! Every student attending the pep rally represents one or more food items donated to St. Johns schools' food pantries. With over 1500 food donations, Hugs Across the County was able to fill a new food pantry at St. Augustine High School and replenish pantries in three more schools. Every donation you provided is helping someone in need in our community. Creekside Knights are the best! Below is a special message sent to Dean Bundshuh thanking Creekside.
Hi Dean Bundshuh,
I wanted to say thank you for your support and the continued support of CHS for our food programs at Hugs Across the County! This year, we have 9 school pantries and just opened the newest one at St Augustine High School completely supported with the donations from CHS. I am happy to say, we had so many donations come in, that we are able to replenish two of our fastest moving pantries. We will also be dropping off family-oriented food (tomato sauce, cream soups, beans) at Gamble Rogers where the food pantry operates in a Wholistic manner providing recipes with the ingredients to make a family meal. So while some students may bring items we don’t typically use, I wanted you to know that every item finds a home in one of our pantries.
Thank you again!
