NEWS FROM THE SCHOOL COUNSELORS
Please visit the Guidance Department Web page for an abundance of information:

School counselors will be in the small café next week, October 14-18, discussing tutoring and extra help options for students. Please see a counselor for more information regarding tutoring offered on Creekside’s campus and online website resources for extra help.

School Counselors were in the cafeteria this week to promote Bullying Awareness Month. Students were encouraged to sign a pledge to “support others who have been hurt or harmed, treat others with kindness, be more accepting of people’s differences, and help include those who are left out” and to write a characteristic that makes them unique to form a chain against bullying. Students were encouraged to wear orange, the national Bullying Awareness color, on Unity Day which is October 23 rd and see Mrs. Fry in the small cafeteria to be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate for a local restaurant.

The Creekside Guidance Department has recently launched a Schoology page. Parents and students are encouraged to join the Schoology page to receive the latest updates.

IN THE KNOW
Did you know

Students who are ill should go to the clinic, before calling to be picked up from school. If they are in class, they should ask their teacher for permission to go to the clinic. Following this process, will expedite the check out process. Please do not show up and ask us to call your student out of class. Following the procedure stated will have them in the clinic and ready to go when you arrive.

Thank you for understanding the procedure and following it.

Now, you are IN THE KNOW!
