Home alone? Think again.

We spend over 90% of our time indoors, yet know little about the tiny roommates sharing our space! Snap and upload photos of insects and other small creatures to iNaturalist to explore the hidden world of indoor biodiversity.

Share stories from beyond the grave.

“GoBituary” (think an obituary, but on-the-go) invites you to uncover hidden histories in cemeteries, including the Miami City Cemetery. Help bring forgotten lives and local stories back to life.

Save wildlife from the shadows.

It’s a chilling truth: animals and roads don’t always mix. Document roadkill sightings to identify wildlife danger zones and make roads safer for both creatures and commuters. It's serious science: your data can help reveal species distribution trends.

Participate in the Roadkill Reports project from anywhere, but if you're in Oregon, there's a special investigation you can join!

Beware the ZomBees!

Help scientists track honeybees infected by parasitic “zombie flies” (Apocephalus borealis). Build a kit (optional), set a trap, and monitor the buzz after dark to support research along the U.S. West Coast and Pacific Northwest. So grab your flashlight and your data sheet this Halloween. Together, let’s uncover the creatures, stories, and science hiding in the dark!
