Cribs for Kids Launches Building Blocks Grant in Partnership with JPMA Cares and Safe Kids Worldwide

We’re excited to announce the launch of the Cribs for Kids Building Blocks Grant, a new mini-grant program developed in partnership with JPMA Cares and Safe Kids Worldwide. This initiative will offer Safe Kids Worldwide coalitions and their safe sleep community partners the opportunity to apply for grants that provide both safe sleep products and educational resources.

The Building Blocks Grant is an extension of the JPMA Cares Safe Sleep Campaign, which aims to reach underserved communities and create partnerships dedicated to ensuring every baby sleeps safely. Applications will open by March, with recipients announced in June. Stay tuned for updates by following us on social media and keeping an eye out for newsletter updates.

Partner Highlight: Safe Sleep Instructor Training by KIDS Network

Our valued partner, the KIDS Network, is hosting their Safe Sleep Instructor (SSI) Certification Training on May 29-30, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas. Take your safe sleep knowledge a step further with this program that equips participants to educate their communities on life-saving safe sleep practices and implement impactful programs to reduce sleep-related infant deaths.

Safe Sleep Champions Webinar Series: Share Your Voice

The Safe Sleep Champions Webinar Series continues to bring together experts in the field of infant safety, and we want to hear from you! We're excited to announce that the next webinar in the series will take place on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 12 PM to 1 PM ET. While the title and guest speakers are still to be determined, we invite you to suggest a Safe Sleep Champion you'd like to hear from. Your input helps us bring fresh perspectives and valuable information to those working to make every baby's sleep safer. Reminder: New Features on the Cribs for Kids Partner Portal



We’ve added new resources to the Cribs for Kids Partner Portal to help promote safe sleep in your community. Partners now have access to a downloadable .wav file of our signature safe sleep lullaby, Just Baby, perfect for use as hold music to raise awareness.

We've also updated our Safe Sleep Ambassador materials. The new 2-sided card includes key safe sleep practices and three QR codes for easy access to our YouTube channel, Flickr shared photo album, and Safe or Not Safe Photo Module quiz. These tools are designed to make sharing safe sleep education with families, staff, and community members easier. Log in to the Partner Portal to explore these new resources today!

Team Cribs for Quiz: Cribs for Kids Staff Takes on Trivia Night for a Great Cause

Cribs for Kids staff members Shayla, Andrea, Bridget, Dave, and Perry hit the road this past weekend for a fun-filled trip to Cincinnati to compete as Team “Cribs for Quiz” at partner Charlie's Kids Foundation's legendary trivia night! More than just a night of fun, the event also raised crucial funds to help Charlie’s Kids continue their mission. With every correct answer (and even the wrong ones), they showed their commitment to making safe sleep a reality for all families.
