Crime meeting rescheduled
The October Crime meeting will be Thursday, October 24, at 7 pm at Central Patrol (1200 E Lindwood). It is being moved from the last Thursday of the month so that it does not conflict with Halloween. The October meeting is the last one of the year, so please take this opportunity to meet the officers and discuss any questions or concerns relating to crime in Hyde Park.
Hyde Park Halloween Party
Saturday, October 26
5-7 p.m.
South side of Gillham Park walking trail (about 45th & Gillham)
Hey neighbors and those who live near by and feel like neighbors!
Lets get together with our Hyde Park community to play games and get some extra use out of those costumes!!

To make it successful we need some of our talented Hyde Parkers to create and run a game or station for the kids. This is an event for the people run by the people!

We have some ideas below but we welcome anything! Older kids are more than welcome to run a booth as well!

Another way to help is to bring prizes or candy to spread around at each station. (Including some gluten free and dairy free)

We will provide hotdogs and would love for neighbors to bring a side dish to share.
Register now for the 2019 Pilgrim Run!
Get together on Thanksgiving morning to enjoy each other's company and get a good, brisk run or walk in before the big turkey dinner! By registering for the Pilgrim Run, you'll be supporting year-round, FREE opportunities for all members of our community, including the Spring Frolic, Hyde Park Film Festival, and Pilgrim Labyrinth & Butterfly Garden.

And if you start sewing now, you'll have plenty of time to get a fantastic holiday-themed costume put together for our costume contest. If we're being honest, there's going to be some stiff competition. Registration is open now, so don't delay!
RAMP Program grants for South Hyde Parkers
There is still availability for $15k grants for home repairs/improvements from Westside Housing’s ‘RAMP Program’. These are approved on a first come, first served basis so do not delay if interested! These grants are issued as a loan/lien and are forgiven at $3k per year, so ownership is required for 5 years after the grant is issued. Should you need to sell the property before the 5 years is up, you will owe the prorated amount. A 1-1 or 2-1 match on improvement funds may be required based on your annual household income.

For more info on eligibility and requirements, you can contact Cliff at 816-708-0586 or cpouppirt@westsidehousing.org
