The Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, has produced the largest refugee crisis in Europe this century. In less than a week, 2 million residents – mostly women and children – fled their homes. Ukrainians face urgent needs for medical care and basic needs like food, water, and fuel.
The University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy & Practice Center for High Impact Philanthropy has done significant research into ways you can help. The center has 15 years of experience developing guidance on how individual donors and institutional grantmakers can best respond to a crisis.

Episcopal Relief & Development is also mobilizing with Anglican agencies and other partners in order to provide humanitarian assistance to people fleeing the violence in Ukraine. Working through the Action by Churches Together Alliance (ACT Alliance), Episcopal Relief & Development will provide cash, blankets, hygiene supplies and other needed assistance.
