Happy Mental Health Month

Like anything meaningful, mental health deserves more than a day, or even a month, of attention and care. For many of us reading this, tending to mental health is part of our everyday work and, at times, something we neglect in ourselves.

This month has had me reflecting on how much progress has been made around mental health awareness and how far we still have to go. Therapy conversations have become more normalized, public advocacy from athletes and celebrities (thank you, Simone Biles) has helped shift perception, and many workplaces are paying closer attention to burnout and work-life balance. At the same time, severe mental illness is still heavily stigmatized, fear of judgment remains real, and many people continue carrying shame around their struggles.

This month is both a celebration of progress and a reminder that the work is far from over.

Be well,

Crista

Sero Program Feature: BrightQuest

Especially well-suited for individuals navigating thought disorders, bipolar disorder, psychosis, personality disorders, trauma, and substance-induced psychiatric symptoms.

BrightQuest is often an ideal fit for young adults and adults who have experienced repeated hospitalizations, difficulty launching into independent adulthood, medication noncompliance, social withdrawal, or ongoing functional decline despite prior treatment attempts. Our long-term, relationship-based therapeutic community model focuses not only on symptom stabilization, but also on helping clients rebuild daily living skills, identity, purpose, interpersonal connection, and greater independence over time.

What makes BrightQuest especially unique is its highly individualized, family-integrated approach and its emphasis on real-world functioning, community, and sustainable recovery rather than quick stabilization alone.
