Dear CWS Partners,

Happy (almost) Spring to all of you. With Project CEO in full swing, and the CWS team visiting 137 corporate partners over eight weeks, it's a hectic time in Corporate Work Study. Hearing our students reflect on the impact you all are making on their lives is the highlight of our year! We look forward to visiting with all of you!

#iamCristoReyATL

Cristo Rey Atlanta is launching a marketing campaign called #iamCristoRey and would love your help! Since our corporate partners are essential to the mission of the school, we hope you can record a short message of yourself/your team for our video project.

Consider filming yourself or someone on your team answering one of the following questions...
  • What do you love about Cristo Rey? Its students?
  • Why do you think Cristo Rey is important for Atlanta?
  • How and why do you feel you are a part of Cristo Rey?
  • How does being a part of Cristo Rey enrich your workplace? Your life?
Be creative!...and just remember to start or end the video with "I am (your name) and I am Cristo Rey Atlanta"

Submit your recordings by April 1 to  Bea Varona-Farach, Cristo Rey Communications Director.

Partner Highlight

Cristo Rey senior Lissa McCoy shares what it is like to visit patients with the therapy dogs at Emory St. Josephs Hospital.

Many of the patients have pets and they could be in the hospital for months at a time, so they miss their pets greatly. When we bring the Happy Tails' dogs in a light in the patient's eyes ignites, and they are temporarily distracted from their current situation. Not only is Happy Tails for the patients but also for everyone who works at ESJH, as soon as the dogs come there is a boost in energy for everyone.  It makes me happy to see that a visit from the dogs is all it takes to ease the pain of patients, even if just for a minute.

What have your students been up to?

Playbook Tip of the Month

Marcus Washington, Social Media Specialist at Georgia Power is having CWS student Kenet Gomora  shape their social media channels by managing their Georgia Power Facebook page. Kenet studies their social analytics and customer demographics to help determine what type of content should be posted. He also helped enhance the Georgia Power Company YouTube channel by optimizing videos for SEO (search), creating video thumbnails and end cards, and reorganized their channel home page.

If you have social media needs, ask your Cristo Rey students to help. We guarantee that they can teach you how to better implement social media for your company!
Interested in hiring your student for the summer?

A number of our Corporate Partners chose to hire one or more of their CWS interns for the summer, which has been a great experience for both the student and the company. The school handles invoicing the company for days of work, and then pays the student for their time at the company. This is completely optional, but if you are interested in exploring the idea further, click here for further details.
Project CEO Sign-Ups

Project CEO is underway! So far, we have completed eleven of our 137 presentations and all but 16 companies have scheduled their presentations. If you are one of those who have yet to schedule your Project CEO, please sign up by clicking your Relationship Manager's name below.
