Make Plans to Attend
Senior Parents - make plans to bring your 12th Grader to FAFSA Night on October 8th. Pop in between 3:45pm-6:00pm to get one-on-one help to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form - required for ALL SENIORS!

1st Quarter Conferences - Teachers may require conferences for students, or Parents may request conferences with teachers on our Conference Day October 11th from 1:00pm-4:00pm. A sign-up link will be sent next week, and we request that both a parent and the student participate in the conference.

If you are interested in being a part of the planning committee for Parent Engagement events this year, make plans to attend a meeting on October 15th at 5:00pm. Childcare will be provided, and we'll have prizes too, courtesy of the Urban League of Louisiana!

Please make sure your child is AT SCHOOL and ON TIME on October 16 and 17 for our annual SAT and PSAT Testing Days. The SAT is accepted by most colleges for admission, and Cristo Rey students around the nation have demonstrated higher performance on the SAT than the ACT. Help us to make sure your child is ready for the test on testing day. For more information about the SAT, visit College Board.
Transportation Update - New Policy Reminder
Cristo Rey provides transportation for all students in the morning, as well as for students at 3:35pm dismissal (for non-workday students) and again at 5:00pm for student workers. To ensure efficiency and consistency with our after-school bus routes, we will not be able to provide 5:00pm transportation home for a student who is NOT a worker that day. This means a student who stays after school for any kind of after-school program or for detention must arrange for a ride by 5:00pm on those days.

We are working diligently to improve the quality of our bus transportation program, and we apologize for any frustration you have experienced as a result of late buses or missed stops. Please know we are exploring several options for transportation services as we move forward and work to continuously improve our offerings for our families.

Call our Main Office at (225) 615-7479 if you have any questions about bus transportation to and from school.
Thanks for Taking Care of Business!
ATHLETICS: All student athletes who wish to participate in sports this year must complete an athletics packet, which includes a medical exam, before participating. Contact your coach or the Main Office for a copy of the packet. Basketball season is just around the corner!

DRESS CODE: Please ensure students come to school dressed appropriately for the day, from their outerwear to their shoes. Dress uniform required on all work days!

REGULAR BELL SCHEDULE: Please make sure students arrive on time (by 7:25am) and remain through the end of the school day. Students may not be checked out after 3:00pm.
