Stay Home, Stay Safe Order

Governor Whitmer has issued a "Stay Home, Stay Safe" Executive order beginning tonight at midnight for all non-critical business. What does that mean? Beginning tomorrow March 24th both SEBAR offices will be closed until April 13th. However, we have put into place the processes for all staff to work remotely from home during this time. Please continue to email staff for any of your needs.

In addition, Michigan REALTORS® is directing that all real estate services (including appraisal and title work) are not considered “critical” . Under the order, movement of Michigan citizens, in an effort to combat COVID-19, will be limited to only those critical services listed. Real estate services like the showing of homes and listing of homes, appraisal, and title services are all considered non-critical and travel to do so is prohibited until April 13, 2020 . Willful violation of the Governor’s Order is a Misdemeanor. Real estate activity that can be conducted remotely is not prohibited.
For those REALTORS® in the middle of a transaction, Michigan REALTORS® created the following form for your use as an amendment to an existing Purchase Agreement to extend the transaction. As with any contract, please make sure that you are consulting with legal counsel.
