Join us for an urgent and informative Town Hall on Mayor Lurie’s proposed Upzoning Map—a plan that will dramatically alter Cow Hollow, the Marina, and other parts of District 2 with large-scale height increases, threats to rent-controlled housing and small businesses, and loss of neighborhood input.

This is not an upzoning map—it is a demolition map. Nothing gets built unless something is bulldozed.

You will hear from neighborhood leaders and SF Planning Department, learn what is in the upzoning plan, and discover how you can still help push for thoughtful, community-driven planning before these changes become permanent - see the neighborhood's reasonable map suggestions we submitted to Planning, Supervisor Sherrill, and Mayor Lurie.

What's at Stake

Mayor Lurie's plan is more extreme than Mayor Breed's rejected version, and comes with no affordability guarantees:

  • 8-story towers on Lombard Street, walling off Cow Hollow from the Marina
  • 6-story towers on Chestnut, Union, and Fillmore—double or triple current heights
  • Demolition and displacement threats to local shops and longtime renters

What You Can Do

Tell Supervisor Sherrill to withhold support for the Mayor’s Upzoning Map unless it’s revised to reflect the reasonable changes and concerns raised by his constituents.

Bring a friend. Spread the word.

Help shape the future of your neighborhood.
