Length of time the business has been operating: We have been in operation since August 1st, 2023, over 2 months.

Description of Business: Rock Kids Dental is an inspiring place where we help families reach optimum dental health by tailoring oral care to family life. We see children and young adults from ages 0-21. From the moment your child has teeth all the way until college, we’re able to provide service and grow with your family.

Your Business Mission Statement: Our motto is “Inspiring Noteworthy Smiles”. At Rock Kids Dental, we believe this statement encapsulates the core mission of promoting and maintaining children’s oral health while creating a positive and encouraging environment. It conveys the idea that the practice not only focuses on dental care but also strives to motivate young patients to embrace good oral hygiene habits with enthusiasm and a cheerful disposition. This approach helps alleviate the fear and anxiety often associated with dental visits for children, making it a memorable and pleasant experience.

What’s Your Why?: To provide high-quality dental care in a fun and friendly environment specifically designed for children. The dental practice aims to create positive dental experiences for kids, helping them develop good oral hygiene habits and ensuring their long-term dental health. The focus is on making dental visits enjoyable and stress-free, so children feel comfortable and confident in maintaining their oral health.

What sets your business apart from others?: Rock Kids Dental stands out from other pediatric dentistry practices in several unique ways:

Personal Connection: As a mother of three, I empathize with the challenges parents face when bringing their children to the dentist. This personal understanding drives us to make every visit a comfortable and hassle-free experience for both kids and their parents. I implement this belief in my approach when seeing patients.

Highly Qualified Care: Being a board-certified pediatric dentist with a solid educational background from the University of Maryland and the University of Florida, I bring a high level of expertise to the practice. Our focus on individualized care ensures that every child is treated with the same care and attention I would give my own kids.

Minimalistic Approach: We prioritize necessary dental work, ensuring that every procedure we undertake aims to inspire lasting changes in a child’s oral health. This means you can trust us to only recommend and perform dental work that is truly needed.

Community Roots: I’m a proud Nigerian-American and a local resident of the Crofton area, which adds a personal touch to our practice. It is truly an honor to serve the very community in which I live.

Convenience and Efficiency: We understand that families are often short on time. We are committed to making dental visits hopeful, efficient, and doable, ensuring that it’s not a burden but a valuable gift for parents and guardians to provide to their children.

Music-Themed Office: Because I am a musician, my office is designed to engage and entertain kids with a music-themed ambiance, making dental visits fun and enjoyable.

In summary, Rock Kids Dental is not just a place for dental care; it’s a place where families can find a dental home that understands their unique needs and aims to provide the best possible care with a personal touch.

What are some of the personal rewards that come from your business? We enjoy making a positive impact in the lives of my patients. Working with children and helping them develop good oral health habits that can have a lasting impact on their overall well-being. Many children may have anxiety or fear associated with dental visits. Being able to create a fun and friendly environment where children feel comfortable and enjoy their dental visits can be personally fulfilling. We also get to witness our patients’ progress in their oral health journey, such as successfully overcoming dental fears, and achieving cavity-free check-ups. Lastly, we love the opportunity to be a positive role model for my patients.

How long have you been a chamber member? We have been members since 2023.

What benefits have you experienced with your chamber membership?

Being a member and having the chamber’s support has been very beneficial. We are still in awe of the turnout and goodwill we received during our official opening and ribbon-cutting event. The many networking and outreach events sponsored by the chamber also provides opportunities for us to get to know and interact with our community.

Do you offer any discounts? Rock Kids Dental believes in increasing access to quality dental care in our community. To that end, we have partnered with most insurance companies operating in our neighborhood including the Maryland healthy smiles program. We also offer various discounts throughout the year and a payment plan for families that are uninsured or underinsured. Further details can be obtained from the office.

Halloween in Crofton

This past weekend, Crofton came alive with Halloween festivities! On Friday evening, the Crofton Police Department hosted the inaugural Trunk or Treat, which turned out to be a resounding success. It was fabulous to see so many Chamber businesses participating.

Then, on Saturday, the Crofton Kiwanis Club kicked off the annual Halloween Parade, featuring an array of fantastic costumes. The weather was absolutely beautiful!

If you love our parks as much as we do, or if you'd like to see certain improvements, please take a few moments to complete this survey.
